Pregame Warm Ups


Coaches, do you need a quick and easy warm up for your practice? This video is a very general warm up that can help prepare your team for practices, games and training sessions. The work is all pretty easy and fool proof and will get your athletes moving around while preparing their tissue and central nervous system for the rigors of practices and games.

First

General Warm Up - 10-15 yds

  • Jog/back pedal

  • High Knees/butt kicks

  • Front/back skip w/chest fly

  • Shuffle

  • Carioca

Dynamic Mobility - 10-15 yds

  • Knee hugs

  • Heel to butt

  • Heel to toe walks

  • Toe grabs

  • Straight leg march

  • Front lunge w/reach

  • Figure four stretch

  • Front lunge w/rotation

Second

Static Mobility - in place

This is all done with control and the goal to be opening up the hips

  • Pigeon stretch x 2-3 seconds x 5E

  • SL rocking frog stretch x 2-3 seconds x 5E

  • Half kneeling stretch x 2-3 seconds

    • w/o reach x 5E

    • w/reach x 5E

Third

CNS Prep - 10-15 yds

This in done with intent of trying to push your feet through the ground while being able to react off the ground

  • Front/back skip

  • Ankle Hops x 10

  • Ankle hop w/jump x 6

  • Toe taps

  • Mini skips

  • 2 point start sprints x 2 each side (4 total)
